Vehicle Listing Description
Business expansion forces the sale of my 1999 Dodge Viper GTS ACR, rare 1 of 22 red ACR’s. "ACR" is the factory American Club Racer option offered on only 22 red GTSs this year. ACR options include adjustable Koni coil-over shocks on all for corners, 5 point seat harnesses both seats, fog light deletes and smooth air tubes. This ACR comes with the factory optioned Comfort Package with A/C and Stereo. Most importantly, 1999 was the last year that the Viper came from the factory with an all-forged internals motor and highly prized '708' camshaft. The ACR option, 708 cam and forged motor make this one of the most sought after generation II Viper's on the market. I acquired this car 2 years ago with only 9k miles on it, then immediately added over $20K worth of high performance and reliability-enhancing components starting with the awesome Roe Racing autorotor supercharger w/8lb pulley & VEC 2 computer. This super efficient hybrid roots blower makes instantaneous power the instant you step on the gas, building all its boost immediately off-idle. This contributes to this car's ability to make almost 765 lb/ft of torque at just over 2000rpm, 675hp at about 5800rpm on 92 pump gas, incredible power with friendly streetable manners that must be experienced. I've had this setup on the car for almost 2 years now, recently running a best quarter mile of 10.91@128mph on street tires. I cannot stress enough just how reliable this car has been, so much that it has been my car of choice to take on my long distance business trips since then, clocking some 25k miles in less than 2 yrs without a single issue with the blower or engine. This reliability and power is in great part due to my compulsive nurturing and care for this vehicle along with the other top-shelf components I have installed: Harland Sharp adjustable roller rockers, hardened pushrods, Cometic head gaskets, new oversized aluminum radiator, reinforced p/s bracket, Bellanger long tube headers, Borla cat back exhaust, Unitrax half shafts & safety loops, new u-joints, drilled/slotted rotors & perf pads, VEC 2 computer, MSD Boost-a pump, new ported throttle bodies, A-pillar dual gauge pod with dedicated Wide Band O2 gauges and a steering column-mounted Autometer full sweep electric boost gauge. Most recently installed is a new $2500 RPM Transmissions Level 5 transmission, the best available, all parts cryo’d and micro-polished along with a new LUK clutch with chromoly flywheel. The nearly perfect Viper Red exterior is accentuated by CCW 505A wheels: 19x13 rear with 345/35/19 Bridgestone Scuderia tires out back (50% tread), 19x10 front with 285/35/19 run-flats (90% tread). I recently disassembled the blower from the car to have the air tubes powder-coated red to match the car and while apart I determined the blower and related components were in excellent shape, all tolerances perfect, blower is like new. I have the 12lb pulley for it as well as the Roe Racing Water Methanol injection kit that I have yet to install. The pulley, belt and VEC programming can be changed in about 1 hour to run on race gas to make nearly 800hp. The addition of the methanol kit can bring on yet another 70+hp. As the owner of a high performance tuner shop and several sports cars I regularly service my Viper, so rest assured that every mechanical component on this car is in excellent condition. Exterior & interior are in fabulous shape, especially considering 37K miles on the odometer. This car turns all heads, and I cannot stress enough how well sorted out and reliable this VERY powerful Viper is. And aside from the occasional trip to the drag strip I have not raced this car; it has NOT seen track time. Business expansion requires sale of my beloved Viper. Very aggressively priced.
